According to Jung's weather forecast, Sunday could be the warmest day of 2023 so far and at the same time the first hot day. The beginning of the new week promises high temperatures of up to 28 degrees, but it will be turbulent at the beginning of the week.

The air masses will be humid and thundery, as Jung explains: A "hot and humid soup with 25 to 30 degrees and sometimes violent thunderstorms". On Monday (22 May) and Tuesday (23 May), regionally violent thunderstorms and thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail and squalls are imminent. The German Weather Service (DWD) also warns of local severe weather due to heavy rain, especially in the north and southwest. But there are also severe weather warnings in Bavaria.

Dominik Jung commented on the forecast from Sunday with the words: "There will be some thunderstorms and thunderstorms like in midsummer," Jung said of the forecast from Sunday.
