Two Harish residents, in their 30s, were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of assaulting a woman and injuring her lightly for allegedly desecrating Shabbat while visiting a gymboree in the city. The investigation was opened after a complaint was filed at the Iron Station about a fight in the compound.

It is suspected that some Haredim from Harish came to the gymboree, violated public order and harassed the patrons, claiming that they were desecrating the Sabbath. Police officers who arrived at the scene separated the parties and arrested two of those involved, with more arrests expected later.

This week, a 24-year-old man and two boys, aged 17 and 16, from Bnei Brak, were charged with kidnapping and brutal robbery late last month. In it, the three posed as a woman on Instagram and lured a man to a car park in the city, where they assaulted, threatened and robbed him.

The serious indictment indicates that the three planned the act in advance, and lured the victim through a fictitious Instagram account. When the victim arrived at the meeting place they had arranged with him in the evening, the three deliberately entered him with electric bicycles and caused him to get out of his vehicle. They then beat him with irons and sticks, put him back in his car with a knife to his neck and led him to a nearby wooded area, where they attacked him again.
