"Fuchsbau" inaugurated: Korbinian-Kindergarten is happy about another group

The "Fuchsbau" in Nandlstadt has been at the start for six months. Now the new kindergarten group in the container facility has been officially inaugurated.

Nandlstadt – The "Fuchsbau" in Nandlstadt has been a hive of activity for six months: On December 1, 2022, the container extension at the Korbinian kindergarten was launched. Now the facility, which currently cares for 17 girls and boys, has been officially inaugurated.

"There is nothing more beautiful than a child's laughter," says Pastor Stephan Rauscher. That is why he was pleased on Friday that he was able to give the blessing to the temporary extension together with the Protestant pastor Meye Hoesch de Orellana from Freising. Because: "Where the Lord God is present, it is good." And so he hopes that the extension is – and will remain – "a happy place to play and learn".

The importance of cultivation was made clear by Mayor Gerhard Betz. In March 2022, he received the "bad news" from the Johannes Kindergarten that there were 16 children on the waiting list. And the community also knew about families who did not get a childcare place. The search for a solution began. By chance, they would have learned about a container plant in Gammelsdorf. In April, the local council "reacted very well and very quickly" and approved the purchase of the 130,000 euro and 169 square meter container facility with twelve "building blocks". In addition to fire protection measures, substructure and the like, the municipality has invested a total of 210,000 euros in the extension. Money that is "well spent", as not only Rauscher emphasized.

How comfortable the children feel in the lovingly furnished and decorated extension became clear at the inauguration: Together with educator and group leader Antonia Inderst and nanny Kübra Aydin, the little ones sang the song: "In kindergarten, everyone starts as little people". Afterwards they were allowed to play - in the group room with construction, doll and reading corner as well as children's kitchen, in the "Brotzeitstüberl", in the bedroom and of course in the garden. The guests, including some local councillors, also took the opportunity to inspect the small kindergarten – "according to the district office, the best temporary provision", as Betz proudly quoted.

Even if the children have their own little kingdom: Of course, they are also allowed to use the garden of the Korbinian kindergarten. Until the municipality has built a third kindergarten, for which the first plans were recently presented, the "fox's den" is affiliated with the Korbinian kindergarten.
