Ramzy Bedia, we know the comic, but a little less the man. Discovered on M6 with the pastille "The words of Eric and Ramzy", he continues with his sidekick Eric Judor the shows on stage, the series H and even the feature film La Tour Montparnasse infernale in which they give the answer to Marina Foïs. Since then, each has become independent, but their friendship and especially their complicity remains intact. As proof, their recent participation in the game "Who is the imposter" broadcast on Squeezie's YouTube channel. A video viewed in just 24 hours 6 million times. To date, it has accumulated 19 million views.

Although he was born in Paris in 1972, Ramzy Bedia's parents are Algerian, who arrived in France in 1962, the year of Algeria's independence. As a child, he learned respect for both countries. His parents enrolled him in a private Catholic school. They live in Gennevilliers in a "difficult suburb" which is why they send their son to school in the town next door, Asnières-sur-Seine. "I went to school, I did my prayers every morning "Our father, I greet you Mary", I know them by heart" begins to tell Ramzy in the portrait dedicated to him this Sunday, May 21 "Seven to eight". "And in the evening when I came home, I saw my father in his room with his forehead on the floor praying," recalls the comedian who at the time does not understand why his father practices his religion differently. The latter would then have replied: "Shh, shut up, we'll see later. Be like others, have integrity like others."
A minimum wage to support a large family
But the economic gap between Ramzy and his classmates is wide. Among the Bedia, there is "a minimum wage to support this family of eleven". At school, he is "always sidelined". "I don't have the right shoes, I don't have the nice clothes, I don't have a moped. They all go to the café but I can't, I went to school with no money to eat. I'm the only little rebeu in the class," he recalls.

He grew up surrounded by women, he has seven sisters, today he is the father of three daughters. It is the infectious laughter of his grandmother that makes him discover at first the benefits of humor. The power of his talent, to make anyone laugh, it is in adolescence that he becomes aware. A party is organized and one of the other students suggests inviting Ramzy because he will "make them laugh". "I'm the service comedian. I'm starting to have friends, the girls are watching you, you're not looking at you, but they're already looking at you..." A first door opens to the others.
Since then, laughter has become his trademark and the reason for his success. He observes with Audrey Crespo-Mara that before his notoriety "people changed sidewalks by clutching their bags and now, they change sidewalks to take a picture". It is also a philosophy of life for the one who when he asks his children about their days, asks them if they "laughed at least once". "I see people who go their days without laughing, they are grey, hunched over. There's no way I'm like that," he concludes.
