From Madrid, Fabiana Cantilo was angry with a statement that was attributed to her in a newspaper in Catamarca, about her relationship with Charly García and Fito Páez, and came out to deny those words. "I hate lying," he said through his social networks.
The controversy began when the singer published on her Twitter account the capture of a note from El Esquiú with a verbatim quote that supposedly corresponded to her: "I could be Charly's mine, but the pelotudo did not choose me. I went out with Fito because Charly didn't give me a ball. He was a figure and we were kids who wanted to get the attention of the idol."
Surprised by the words attributed to her, Cantilo commented before this screenshot: "Quéeee?" But the denial of the publication that echoed did not end there.
Traveling through Spain, the renowned national rock figure recorded several videos explaining how his link with Charly and Fito really was. A story that returned to the news thanks to the successful Netflix series, Love After Love, which tells the life of the latter.
In a series of stories that he uploaded to his Instagram account, he said: "We are going to clarify this stupidity that they are saying and they are going to raise it from everywhere: lie that I was with Fito because Charly did not give me ball, lie!"
"I chose Fito, you understand? I'm not going to give any more statements, that that they are saying to corroborate the source because it is a lie," he told his truth regarding the statement that was published in the Catamarca newspaper.
On the media in general, he denounced: "Warn them that much of what is in those news are lies, especially the titles. In no way was I with Fito because Charly didn't give me a ball, Charly gave me a ball, I left him for Fito."
"The bunch who wrote that can retract or stop talking nonsense from people they don't know. One thing is one thing and another thing is another thing," he closed the first part of his disclaimer with laughter.
Then, he again criticized journalism: "And I say this because I hate lies and the tabloid press is the basis of all lies together, to sell the story they nail you ... And I'm not used to that, so I'm not going to look anymore."

At the beginning of May, the singer made a disclaimer about the series Love AfterLove and how her character is reflected, which has great importance in the plot.
Cantilo posted a series of videos on his networks, giving his opinion on fiction based on real events. "First statement on the series... In addition to doing choirs for Fito and backing for Luis, I had a life and a career," he made clear.

After his statements quickly went viral, he assured that everything is fine with the creators of the series: "Several people spoke to me on the phone ... I'm not angry, I'm happy. What happens is that as it is my life I had fun clarifying that in the series you see that I go and that I return to Fito, and in those I come and go I was recording, rehearsing with many people ...".
In that sense, she added that she is satisfied with the series and its impact: "N ada,I'm super happy with everything, because it's very crazy to see your own life, you can't explain it, it's like weird."
