Borussia Mönchengladbach have secured a point in the Rhineland duel at Bayer Leverkusen after a successful comeback in the Bundesliga. Gladbach came after a 0-2 deficit on Sunday evening to a 2-2 (0-2). Amine Adli (15th minute) and Kerem Demirbay (20th) had given Bayer an early lead, but Germany international Jonas Hofmann (58th minute).
Leverkusen - ) and substitute Lars Stindl (90') used Leverkusen's gift to equalise late on. Bayer's Piero Hincapie was shown the red card in injury time for a serious foul (90+4).
Borussia are still in eleventh place with one match left this season. Leverkusen are in sixth place after Matchday 33. Dpa
