Javier Milei accelerates definitions: the name sung in CABA, a tapado in Province and in how many municipalities he will play

Highlights: The libertarian leader will make the remaining decisions days before the closing of the lists. It will have an electoral presence in almost the entire province of Buenos Aires. Milei already has a definite name since he was elected national deputy in 2021. It is Ramiro Marra, financial youtuber who has become the main Buenos Aires nexus of Avanza Libertad in the Legislature. Carolina Píparo, who sounded for many months for that position, is ruled out. She will compete as a pre-candidate for mayor of La Plata.

They say in the environment of Javier Milei that the most important thing is already defined: his presidential candidacy, for months. That was enough to be competitive until June, with most polls placing it around 20 points of voting intention and Cristina Kirchner adding it to a third-party dispute with the Frente de Todos y Juntos por el Cambio.

However, like the rest, the deadlines run to the libertarian economist, who between now and June 24, the date on which the lists close, must confirm pre-candidacies for key positions. The main ones are the head of the Buenos Aires Government and the Buenos Aires government, although it also needs to define heads of municipalities and in what order the legislative positions will be noted.

"He is going to announce in the coming weeks the candidate for head of government, the candidate for governor and different national legislators of provinces," they confirm from the milleism, although they avoid giving names by express order of the economist, who usually says that once he confirms candidacies political operations begin to weaken those figures.

For the City, Milei already has a definite name since he was elected national deputy in 2021. A sung candidate, even if he does not want to make it official. It is Ramiro Marra, financial youtuber who has become the main Buenos Aires nexus of Avanza Libertad in the Legislature and is, in fact, Milei's campaign manager.

According to some surveys, Marra has been measuring a floor of 15 points when he is identified as "Milei's candidate" in the City, which leaves him third behind the Frente de Todos y Juntos por el Cambio, although with good prospects to add legislators for the next period.

In the province, they say that Milei has already confirmed its candidate. It will not be announced until the first days of June, they say. The silence on that is absolute. "We are not going to pass on more information for the time being," say millean sources. Although, surely, there are already several confirmations of who they will not be.

Carolina Píparo, who sounded for many months for that position, is ruled out. She did not manage to measure as expected and that is why it was decided that she will compete, but as a pre-candidate for mayor of La Plata.

The national deputy, former Together for Change and who worked with José Luis Espert until 2021, came to light in 2010, after being the victim of a bank salider: 9 months pregnant, she was shot, the birth was precipitated and her newborn son died a week later.

Javier Milei and El Dipy, his candidate for mayor in La Matanza.

The other discarded is Fernando Burlando, who will compete as a candidate for governor for his own political space. "It's not going to be him," Milei flatly denied about the lawyer, in an interview he gave with A dos voces, in TN, with Victoria Villarruel, his running mate and candidate for Vice, who also sounded at the time to compete in the province of Buenos Aires.

A low profile name with which some speculated to go for the governorship was Nahuel Sotelo, Milei's reference in the Buenos Aires Legislature, but there is a point that rules him out completely: he is 28 years old and does not reach the 30 required by the provincial constitution in its article 113.

"Dipy" confirmed and how the rest are put together

Last week, although there was no photo that formalizes the decision, it was confirmed that the candidate for mayor of La Matanza that Milei will present will be David Adrián Martínez, the cumbia singer known as "el Dipy". Both Milei and Villarruel ratified the musician, who retweeted and thanked the leader of Libertad Avanza for his statements.

According to those close to Milei, La Libertad Avanza will compete with candidates in almost the entire province of Buenos Aires. "We are able to compete in 110 or 115 of the 135 municipalities," they say. That percentage of presence guarantees them a good amount of fiscal and structure, perhaps the main deficit that is blamed on libertarians.

In addition, another definition that remained pending is to see if they will compete in Entre Ríos, where the elections will be held on the same day as the PASO, August 13, and the general, on October 22.

So far, La Libertad Avanza competed with its own candidates in three provinces: Neuquén, Río Negro and La Rioja, with percentages between 9% and 15% respectively. He will also play electorally in Tucumán, with Ricardo Bussi as a candidate.
