The American Brooks Koepka was crowned champion of the PGA Championship on Sunday. He did so after presenting a card of 67 strokes in the final round played at the Oak Hill Country Club to finish with 271 impacts (-9) and leave behind the Norwegian Viktor Hovland and his compatriot Scottie Scheffler, both with 273 (-7).
It is the third time that Koepka, just 33 years old, has won this major. In this way, he equals a spectacular record of the legendary Jack Nicklaus, who was the only one to have won this tournament three times in the span of six years.
However, the Florida native is still far from the most win-win in the tournament ever. Nicklaus himself and Walter Hagen celebrated five times, while Tiger Woods did it four times. With this victory, he matched the line of Gene Sarazen and Sam Snead.
