A man took off with his ultralight aircraft from Stuttgart for a test flight. In Middle Franconia, the pilot had to make an emergency landing due to propeller damage.
Dinkelsbühl - An ultralight aircraft made an emergency landing in Middle Franconia on Sunday, May 21. The pilot was unharmed, police said in a press release.

Accordingly, the pilot contacted the operations center of the Middle Franconian police at around 10 a.m. He announced that he had to make an emergency landing near the Dinkelsbühl district of Hellenbach. Alarmed patrols of the Dinkelsbühl police station found the plane in a wheat field.

Ultralight aircraft suffers propeller damage during test flight - pilot remains uninjured during emergency landing
The aircraft accident officer at the Dinkelsbühl police station is currently conducting investigations to clarify the cause of the accident at the site of the emergency landing. According to initial findings, the aircraft took off for a test flight in Stuttgart in the morning. The destination was Lauf-Lillinghof Airport (district of Nürnberger Land). However, shortly before 10 a.m., the plane suffered propeller damage, which is why the 62-year-old pilot had to initiate the emergency landing. The man was not injured.
"The aircraft of the manufacturer Junkers is badly damaged and will be recovered by the manufacturer in the course of the day. The amount of property damage cannot yet be quantified," the police continued. (came)
