The squad commanders and the crew commander, an officer with the rank of lieutenant, in the Nahal Brigade who were recently documented shooting at a shooting range naked, were tried today (Sunday) by the brigade commander, Colonel Oren Simha. The team commander, who managed the shooting range and documented the incident, was sentenced to 21 days of bandage, and his continued service will be reviewed by the division commander. The two squad commanders documented in the incident were sentenced to 21 days of bandage and dropped from combat service for four months.
The IDF said that an investigation of the incident revealed that "the soldiers and the officer acted contrary to what was expected of IDF soldiers and officers and severely damaged the military culture. Accordingly, a number of command measures were decided."
