Highlights: Karen McDougall claims to have had a 10-month affair with former President Donald Trump in 2006. She is one of two women (the other being Stormy Daniels) who allegedly had sex with the married multimillionaire before he was elected president in 2016. Their allegations are at the heart of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office investigation into Trump, now 76, making him the first former president in history to face criminal charges — 34 of them to be exact — all of which he denies. But unlike Stormy. Daniels is the accuser everyone has heard of — a former star whose silence was bought for $130,000 by Trump's former lawyer, Michael. Cohen, who was jailed for perjury.

Former Playboy model Karen McDougall revealed intimate details about her affair with former US President Donald Trump in a special interview with the Daily Mail on Friday. McDougall claims to have had a ten-month affair with Trump in 2006 and is one of two women (the other being Stormy Daniels) who allegedly had sex with the married multimillionaire before he was elected president in 2016.

Their allegations are at the heart of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office investigation into Trump, now 76, making him the first former president in history to face criminal charges — 34 of them to be exact — all of which he denies. But while Stormy Daniels is the accuser everyone has heard of — a former star whose silence was bought for $130,000 by Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, who was jailed for perjury — far fewer people have heard of Karen McDougall. Her story was similarly bought for nearly $150,000 and buried in tabloids, in a catch-and-kill strategy ahead of the election.

But unlike Daniels, McDougall claims that what happened between her and Trump was a love-filled affair. McDougall, a lifelong Republican, even said she voted for him in 2016. "He can be rude and vulgar, but he has his good moments and it's lovely to see because it shows there's still a human being there," she explained.

According to McDougall's description, she had a delicate 10-month relationship with Trump, then a reality show host (and married for two years to Melania Trump) during 2006. "I was in love with him. He was in love with me. I know that because he told me that all the time," she said, "He would say, 'You're my baby and I love you.' He showed me off to his friends."

Unlike Stormy Daniels, who (allegedly) received silencing money and called sex with Trump "the worst 90 seconds of my life," McDougall was not left with bad feelings about the man who would become the 45th president of the United States — pointing out that he never denied their affair. "His people denied it, but he never denied it," she said. "A reporter asked him, 'Did you have an affair with Karen McDougall?' and all he said was, 'I didn't do anything wrong.'

Met at the Playboy Mansion and had sex. He offered her money, she cried in the car

McDougall first met Trump at a pool party at the Playboy Mansion in June 2006, which Hugh Hefner held for contestants on the reality show "The Apprentice" hosted by Trump. She was 35 and Trump, 60, who recently had his youngest son, Baron, with his new wife, Melania. He was thrilled with the model he saw in a revealing swimsuit, she said. "He followed me like a puppy, trying to get my attention. He went after me so much that the person in charge of the bunny said, 'Wow, he's really on you.'"

McDougall recalls that Trump instructed his bodyguard, Keith Schiller: "Keith, get her number." A few days later, he called her and asked her to have dinner at his Beverly Hills hotel bungalow, where she said they had sex for the first time after eating steak and mashed potatoes. "After dinner, things got heated and Trump made his move. I was attracted to him, but it wasn't like I was looking to jump into bed with Donald Trump, especially not on the first night," she recalled.

She revealed that Trump offered to pay her after sex. "I was dressed and ready to go, and I saw a pile of cash in his hand. I told him, 'I'm not that kind of girl,' He knew he had made a mistake when he saw how upset I was and told me I was really special."

However, she said she "cried all the way home" in the car with his driver and thought she would never see him again.

"But we got through it," she shared. "I got another call and he invited me back to dinner. I don't know why—but I said yes."

Thus began a 10-month affair — in which they saw each other about five or more times a month, McDougall said, adding that she now feels ashamed of her actions. "I knew he was married, but at the time it was out of my sight. I didn't think about it. I was a child at the time, enjoying myself and not thinking things through," she confessed.

Despite being portrayed in the media as a "bitter former lover," she said she was ultimately the one who dumped Trump after she began an affair with Bruce Willis. "I come across as a disgruntled woman with a grudge, but I'm not that woman. I was the one who finished it," she said.

She said she had already considered breaking up with Trump when "a family member came to town and we went to a bar and I met a lovely man named Bruce. I didn't betray Trump, but Bruce and I talked a lot on the phone, so it was easier for me to finish it. Why should I stay with a married man when Bruce was a nice, single guy?" she explained.

In the months leading up to the 2016 election, she said she agreed to accept $150,000 in exchange for not publishing the story of the novel. "It suited me because I didn't really want the story to come out. I was not familiar with the term 'catch and kill' at this time. I was a pawn in this story, because of all the things I wasn't aware of," she said.

It's been 17 years since Karen and Trump met at a Playboy pool party and she's never been able to escape the consequences of that encounter. "Absolutely. It changed my life," Karen concluded. "The bad part is that I lost a job, I lost friends, and my name was smeared in the newspapers as an extortionist and a Gold Digger. I'm not one of those things. The good part is that I'm stronger. I grew out of it. I'm a different woman."

Toward the end of the interview, after admitting that she would not vote for him in the upcoming election ("I hope DeSantis will be the nominee. I'd be willing to work for his campaign") McDougall, 52, was asked what she would do if she met Trump on the street. She smiled and replied, "I'd say hello and keep going."
