The coffee cast started down on the scoreboard, but turned it over at the end.

With a goal in the last minute, Colombia beat Israel 1-2 on Sunday and added its first three points in Group C of the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina. The match, which was played at the Único Diego Maradona stadium in La Plata, had a tense moment when some spectators unfurled a Palestinian flag and were apprehended by the police and everything returned to calm.

But we have to go back to football. A goal by captain Gustavo Puerta in the 90th minute sealed the triumph of the South Americans, who had as a great figure the goalkeeper Luis Marquinez.Antes, Oscar Cortés was responsible for equalizing the game by finishing a penalty well sanctioned by the referee of the match after going to the VAR.

A powerful shot from Dor Turgeman that found a good response from Marquinez became the first danger play in the eight minutes. Applauded by the thousands of Colombian fans who arrived at the stadium in the city of La Plata, the number 1 began to leave his mark on the field there.

At the end of the first half and when Israel generated two clear options through Tay Abed, Marquinez drowned out the cry of the number 15 with a sensational cover.

On the other side, those led by Héctor Cárdenas turned the attack to the sides and there who stood out was Yaser Asprilla, generating the most dangerous plays for the defense led by Stav Lemkim.

At the beginning of the second half, who stood out was the goalkeeper Tomer Tzarfati to emulate his colleague with a spectacular stop before a shot by captain Gustavo Puerta. At that moment and when it seemed that Colombia would control the actions, an exit of Israel by the left sector was transformed into a penalty after a foul by Édier Ocampo inside the area.

At 11 minutes of the second half, Turgeman took responsibility and collapsed the wall built by Marquinez to put the 1-0.

Colombia went on the attack and soon found its prize. A hand from Ilay Feingold inside the box turned into a penalty that Cortes converted for a goal in the 74th minute.

Another good stop by Marquinez and an incredible failure by the Colombian attack could overturn the result for one side or the other.

In the 90th minute and when it seemed that the match ended evenly, a powerful shot by captain Puerta left the Israel goalkeeper without options and sealed Colombia's 1-2 victory.

With their victory, the South Americans climbed to the first place of a group also composed of Senegal and Japan, which will be measured at 18.00 local time (21.00 GMT) in the same stadium.
