After the discovery of a woman's body in the yard of a primary school in Recklinghausen, a 17-year-old has been arrested. There is a suspicion of homicide. The autopsy of the dead 19-year-old had shown signs of a violent death by strangulation, police and prosecutors said on Monday evening.

According to police, children had discovered the lifeless young woman on Monday morning around 7:00 a.m. in a remote part of the schoolyard. An emergency doctor was only able to determine her death. Emergency chaplains would then have taken care of the children. Because of the unclear situation, a homicide squad was routinely set up.
