Highlights: The municipal council unanimously voted in favour of increasing parental contributions for kindergarten and crèche by a maximum of 30 percent. Until now, increases of up to 64 percent were planned for shorter childcare times in kindergarten. In the after-school care center, the planned increases will remain at up to 37 percent. The new tariffs will apply from 1 September and parents' councils were "shocked", but also reacted with understanding, according to the mayor. The Municipal Examination Association will not tolerate an "unlimited subsidy" of daycare centers in the long term.

According to Walter Herz (CSU), the parents' councils, which were only recently officially informed, were "shocked", but also reacted with understanding.
