Highlights: For almost four months there was no grocery store in Langengeisling. Starting this Tuesday, the Patzelt family will once again be selling baked goods, sausages, coffee and cheese. The goods come primarily from the bakeries Neumaier from Erding and Brugger (Martins Backstube) from Dorfen. The family is particularly pleased to be able to offer hay milk cheese, milk and yoghurt from the Tegernseer Land natural cheese dairy.

For almost four months there was no grocery store in Langengeisling. This is now a thing of the past. Starting this Tuesday, the Patzelt family will once again be selling baked goods, sausages, coffee and cheese.

Langengeisling – Not only the people of Langengeislingen are looking forward to this, but certainly also many commuters and craftsmen who drive the Old Roman Road every day. From tomorrow, Tuesday, the Erding district will have a grocery store again. It's called "Kramer z'Geisling" – the lettering is already emblazoned on the shop windows. Even though it is a new opening, the Patzelt family continues a great tradition here in their building, house number 152.

For decades, Maria Patzelt (1929–2020), better known in the village as Weinmeier Maral, ran the grocery store there. There was everything from toilet paper to sausage, cheese, fruit and bread to stationery. In 2002, she retired at the age of 73. The shop remained and was leased to the Fleck bakery, which had last been supplied with baked goods. In February, it was all over. Since then, the shop has been empty.

Now the Patzelt family is once again tackling things themselves – supported by good staff who will be there for the customers.

Maria's son Karl Patzelt continues to work full-time in the sports department of the Gruber Gewandhaus, and his wife Gerlinde Berghammer remains employed at Baustoffe Auer, but in the future they want to offer baked goods, sausage, coffee and cheese with their employees on weekdays from 6.30 a.m. to 15 p.m., Fridays until 18 p.m. and Saturdays until 12 noon. Patzelt sees himself as a backup, Berghammer helps with the bookkeeping.

The goods come primarily from the bakeries Neumaier from Erding and Brugger (Martins Backstube) from Dorfen, the sausage from the butcher's shop Rampf in Maria Thalheim. The family is particularly pleased to be able to offer hay milk cheese, milk and yoghurt from the Tegernseer Land natural cheese dairy. The coffee is supplied by the well-known Dinzler roastery on Irschenberg.

"We also want to bake ourselves so that we always have fresh produce," Karl Patzelt announces.

And in a small corner there is already a round table with chairs, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee right on the spot. Bar tables are also planned.

In the past few weeks, the Patzelt family has worked a lot. The refrigerated counters in the sales room were retained, but "the warehouse was rebuilt and modernized," says Patzelt. He is looking forward to the opening and still has many ideas. "Let's see how everything is received." He has already received a lot of encouragement: "It motivates and spurs on. I think people are really happy that we're opening up again and that the daily freshness is not so far away."
