They swear they have their eyes set on June 8. But, pending the very sensitive examination of their text aimed at repealing part of the pension reform, the elected Liot are already quietly preparing their next battle: the European elections of 2024. In the corridors of the Assembly, discussions are well underway to build a "Useful" list, named after the association founded by pundits of the group Freedoms, independents, overseas and territories. The structure, which mixes "local elected officials" and candidates from civil society, has already launched a dozen departmental collectives ahead of the election.

Liot must carry more political weight. A group that does not deal with the upcoming elections does not exist," says Bertrand Pancher, who co-chairs the party in the Assembly. As a result, to extend the action carried out by his troops at the Palais Bourbon - where they manage to federate the oppositions - his friends want to embody "a central bloc" of defense of the territories...
