Less than two weeks after her disappearance, a 41-year-old woman from Marsberg in the Sauerland region and her ex-partner of the same age were found dead. The two bodies were found on Saturday in Marsberg, police and prosecutors said on Monday. A hiker discovered the two bodies in a barn, said prosecutor Ümit Görgün of the Arnsberg public prosecutor's office.
Marsberg - Both bodies were autopsied at the weekend. It is assumed that the 41-year-old man first killed his former partner and then himself, the prosecutor said. How exactly both died, however, has not yet been conclusively clarified.
The woman's 22-year-old daughter had reported her mother missing on May 9. Shortly thereafter, it became known that the ex-partner was also missing. The police searched, among other things, with dogs and a helicopter, in a wooded area on May 12, personal belongings of the two people were found. According to the authorities, this find, as well as witness statements, led to the police setting up a homicide squad. Dpa
