The parents from the new fertilization failure at Assuta Ramat Hachayal are still struggling to digest the new reality they find themselves in, ever since they learned that their son is not genetically compatible with his father. They are now exposing what happened in front of the hospital before the Health Ministry announced the affair.

"Even before the malfunction was published in the media, Assuta consulted with a lawyer, so they knew there was a serious problem here and their failure to report was even more serious," she told Walla! The couple's lawyer, Anat Ginzburg.

The hospital itself claims that they did not make a mistake, and that they did not find it necessary to report the case to the Ministry of Health. In addition, Assuta states that the test performed abroad is not valid in Israel, but the couple is not willing to perform another test in Israel in order to validate the result.

Now, Attorney Ginzburg denies the claim: "Assuta told the parents in their meetings that as far as they were concerned, there was no need to perform a paternity test because the results of the German test were unequivocal and they wanted to reach a financial arrangement with them for compensation. The parents told them they wanted an investigation into the incident and not financial compensation."

"Parents have no problem performing a paternity test at this moment to validate the tests that were done. We will do everything that the Health Ministry recommends," Ginzburg continues, adding, "The father is broken, but the child knows nothing and there is no reason for him to know anything."

Assuta said in response: "We regret the things that do not reflect reality - the parents did not present any proof of a malfunction that occurred at Assuta. Assuta made it clear to the couple that parenting checks must be done in the royal way – in Israel, and with court approval. Assuta was also the one who insisted that the couple be accompanied by an attorney and that an orderly clarification process be conducted with the lawyer. At no point were they offered 'silence fees' and we reject this claim. Assuta invites the couple to perform all the necessary tests and will continue to cooperate and conduct themselves professionally and transparently with all the authorized bodies."
