"Who is replacing me, Hanmal?": After National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir informed MK Almog Cohen on Tuesday evening that he was being removed from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Cohen responded by saying: "At a time when crime in the Negev and Galilee is celebrating and civilians are being murdered in the streets, it is better to deal with creating solutions and less with personal revenge. I am proud that I made my determination in closed rooms to vote in favor of the budget, as was done tonight in order to preserve this important right-wing government that is bringing huge budgets and national projects to the Negev."
In conclusion, he added: "I was sorry to hear about my removal from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, I will serve the residents of the Negev faithfully every step of the way," and insisted: "I just wonder who is replacing me, Hanmal?"

Tensions between Ben-Gvir and Cohen have increased recently. Just two weeks ago, those close to the minister hinted that the attack in Gaza was related to the boycott of the party's votes, in response, those close to the MK said it was a hurrah. "Anyone who is arrogant enough to think that the Shin Bet brings golden knowledge because of him is mistaken. It's irresponsible to take credit for that."
