Moscow/Munich - Vladimir Solovyov is a model confidant of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. The 59-year-old regularly beats the drum for his boss in the Russian state media. Solovyov, for example, describes the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a "holy war". The top propagandist also likes to ridicule the West as "satanic".

The Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) of Putin's fiercest critic and arch-enemy Alexei Navalny may have brought to light a secret relationship between Solovyov and a Russian woman who also has US citizenship.

In a now-published investigation called "Vladimir Solovyov's American Secret," which can be seen on Navalny's YouTube channel, it is claimed that the propagandist is a lover of former basketball player Svetlana Abrozimova and has children with her. The research team claims to have come across the connection when it tracked down expensive real estate in Russia with unclear ownership data.

In Sochi, the team said they came across "perhaps the most expensive villas" in Russia, which are more valuable than real estate in New York, Dubai or London. One of them, as well as an apartment in Moscow, is said to belong to Abrosimova. Solovyov is said to have given the same address in Moscow as Abrosimova in several corona tests. He is also said to have given her phone number as his own.

What further reinforces the suspicion of a liaison are flight data that are supposed to prove that Solovyov flew to the United States of America several times between 2016 and 2017, although he made fun of the United States on TV. At the end of December 2016, Abrosimova is said to have traveled to the United States for a longer period of time, and only returned to Russia in June 2017. During this time, she gave birth to twins, and she shared pictures and names of the offspring herself on Instagram. The children's names are Margarita and Maria Abrosimova. The father's name "Vladimirovna".

Several anonymous sources are said to have confirmed to the research team that Solovyov is the father of the twins, and that he appeared several times at the villa in Sochi. Pictures showing him with the former basketball player are intended to underpin this.
