Every May 28 is celebrated the International Hamburger Day and for twenty-four hours there are dozens of discounts and promotions that in many cases extend throughout the week in many hamburger restaurants in the country.
The hamburger is a global symbol of food, as recognizable as pizza or spaghetti, and there is more than one version about its origins, beyond the immediate association that, by its name, is made with the German city of Hamburg.
The Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) defines the hamburger in one of its meanings as a "pancake of minced meat, with various ingredients, fried or roasted". The original is with beef but there are no restrictions to use pork, chicken or even fish, and it is customary to eat in a sandwich. On the Mercado de los Carruajes food ride, the local Cinema Burger – specializing in American-style burgers and hot dogs – will celebrate Hamburger Day with a combo that includes a Burgernator, fries and a drink for only $ 2,400.
The Burgenator carries a homemade medallion of grilled beef "smasheado" with cheddar cheese, strips of crispy bacon, red onion and barbecue sauce, all contained in a soft potato bread and Parmesan cheese.

Bonus track: the Burger Palusa festival
To the usual offers, this weekend adds the second edition of the Burger Palusa festival that this time invites to choose the best burger in the country in a federal contest that has as protagonist the vote of the participants and a jury of recognized specialists in the subject.
This new edition will have a complete LINE UP of activities with master class, live music and stoves lit for 12 hours where eight hamburger restaurants from the interior of the country will cook that will be presenting their star product to more than 1500 people, seeking to take the top prize and the title of the Best Hamburger in the country.
