Update from May 22, 20:35 p.m.: After the discovery of a dead 19-year-old in the yard of a primary school in Recklinghausen (North Rhine-Westphalia), a teenager has been arrested. There is a suspicion of homicide. In the autopsy of the body of the young woman, there were signs of a violent death by strangulation, as police and prosecutors announced on Monday evening.

According to a report by Bild, a 17-year-old was arrested by police on Monday evening. He is suspected of killing the 19-year-old. According to police, the victim and the suspect are said to have known each other for a long time before the crime. "The investigation into the motive for the crime and the evaluations of the secured traces are still ongoing," a police spokeswoman is quoted as saying in the report.

First reported on May 22, 13:54 p.m.: Recklinghausen – Terrible find at a school in Recklinghausen: Elementary school children came across the body of a young woman on Monday morning (May 22). Around 7 a.m., the police were alerted, an emergency doctor determined the death of the woman. The children are said to have initially believed that she was just sleeping, reports Radio Vest.
"We don't know how she died, a homicide squad has been set up and has taken up the investigation," a police spokesman told wa.de.
