Russia has evacuated nine villages in the Belgorod region, on the border with Ukraine, and continues the anti-terrorist operation in that province after the incursion of saboteurs, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Tuesday.
"The inhabitants of Grayvoron, Novostroyevka, Gorkovsk, Bezimeno, Makraya Orlovka, Glutovo, Gora Podol, Zamostie, Spodaryuchischeno were resettled," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Gladkov also said that the anti-terrorist operation declared on Monday after the attack by saboteurs in Grayvoron, attributed by Russia to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continues in the region.
"
The cleaning of the area continues," said the governor, who said that the Russian province was attacked more than forty times with drones, artillery and mortar fire in different towns of Belgorod between Monday and Tuesday morning.
As a result of Tuesday's attacks, 12 civilians were wounded and 29 private homes were damaged, Gladkov said, adding that there is currently no electricity in 14 towns.

Russia's Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under six articles of the Criminal Code for Monday's attack by saboteurs, including terrorism and murder.
At least ten people were injured in the attack, while an elderly woman died during the evacuation of the area.
A representative of Ukraine's Military Intelligence Directorate said that behind those attacks are two groups of Russian volunteers fighting against the Kremlin: the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom Legion for Russia.
On Monday, the Russian Volunteer Corps posted videos on its Telegram channel alongside the phrase: "News from the Belgorod camps is not long in coming!"
In turn, the Freedom Legion for Russia claimed in the same application that "the Freedom Legion for Russia began to assault Grayvoron, in the Belgorod region," where the raid took place.
"Russia will be free!" wrote the group, which claims on its channel that it is "fighting the dictatorial regime in Russia."
