During a visit to a school in Brandenburg, Olaf Scholz has clear words for the climate activists. The Federal Chancellor clearly reprimands the actions of the climate stickers.
Munich – Climate activists regularly paralyze traffic in Germany, want to draw attention to climate change with their actions, and groups like the "Last Generation" regularly cause resentment. Drivers in particular are running out of patience. So far, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has held back in public discourse with his statements on the actions of the climate stickers, but now even the Chancellor has clearly criticized the actions in a public appearance.
The reason was probably a renewed protest action in which a climate activist of the "Last Generation" in Karlsruhe had run onto the grounds of the Federal Constitutional Court. The curious thing about the action: The activist wore an Olaf Scholz mask in front of his face.

During a visit to a school in Brandenburg, the Chancellor then found clear words about what he thinks of the climate stickers and their actions. "I think it's completely crazy to somehow stick to a picture or on the street," Scholz said in Kleinmachnow, Brandenburg.
In fact, the chancellor pointed out that the protests of the climate activists may have failed to achieve their purpose. "I have the impression that this does not help anyone to change their minds, but above all annoys everyone," Scholz explained during his visit to the Eigenherd School in Brandenburg on the occasion of the EU Project Day 2023, which goes back to an initiative of the German EU Council Presidency.

Only in the past few days, there had been an increase in clashes between activists and angry citizens. In Berlin, there were kicks and punches for climate glue, while other climate activists had been doused with a liquid by a motorist.
While the Chancellor considers the form of protest to be ineffective, Scholz, on the other hand, finds it perfectly okay to organize rallies, demonstrate and stand up for his goals. "But this is an action that I don't think will help," the Chancellor continued, referring to the so-called climate stickers.
