Tim Scott's candidacy in the Republican primaries resembles that of an outsider. The Republican senator from South Carolina announced Monday his entry into the campaign, but does not benefit from the immense notoriety of Donald Trump, nor the media interest aroused by his main rival, Ron DeSantis. This black elected representative of a southern state, however, presents a profile and a speech radically different from the two favorites, at the same time as an appeal to a Republican party with values somewhat obscured by Trumpist domination.
