For its new advertising, discounter Lidl has hired Helene Fischer as a testimonial. The accompanying clip with her was filmed in a small Bavarian town.
Neuburg - Even the darkened windows and the many security guards in the parking lot couldn't give it away: Schlager singer Helene Fischer filmed a Lidl commercial in Bavaria in February 2023. The branch in Neuburg (Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district) was only recently opened – so a few months later a star enters the store. Before her big tour, however, Helene Fischer is said to have taken more time than just for filming. She stayed in Bavaria for several days for a short break.
"Friendly and absolutely uncomplicated": Helene Fischer stays in Bavaria for several days after filming
For its new advertising campaign, discounter Lidl probably wanted to rely on familiar faces. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, presenter Barbara Schöneberger and comedian Max Giermann were hired as advertising media – and pop star Helene Fischer is also suddenly advertising for Lidl.
For the singer, this was not only an opportunity to advertise Lidl and her own cause with a short clip – together with security guards, make-up artists and management, she stayed a little longer in the city on the Danube and took a closer look at the region of the many castles.
Statements by hotel manager Otto Böhm indicate that she left a lasting impression during her time in Neuburg. She is said to have been "extremely friendly and absolutely uncomplicated – simply likeable", quotes the Augsburger Allgemeine Böhm. When she had left the hotel and the city, she took time for personal conversations. On request, there were autographs – so there was no trace of airs and graces.
