There is no political force that today is exempt from having its own internal. Now the discussion has erupted strongly in the United Republicans, the party headed by Ricardo Lopez Murphy and which has Roberto Garcia Moritán in its ranks. The reason: from one wing they rushed to warn that the deputy had lowered his candidacy for head of government, but he himself came out to ratify it: he will do it outside the party and will try to prevent the husband of the driver Pampita Ardohain from running.
He and the leader Yamil Santoro, the Bulldogcalled them "climbers" and "traitors". According to party spokesmen, the vice president of the United Republican Electoral Board, Beatriz Albertelli, confirmed that the former economy minister resigned on Wednesday from his pre-candidacy for head of the Buenos Aires government within that seal. Lopez Murphy, for reasons of statute, was asked to dispute a previous internal with García Moritán to which he was not willing.
With national projection, the deputy will go with another stamp to the PASO of Together for Change in the City of Buenos Aires. But he kept an ace up his sleeve: he will not resign from the United Republicans and will try to condition, in the same way that he believes they tried to do with him, the candidacy of the Buenos Aires legislator.
From the other wing of the United Republicans, they insist that García Moritán will be the candidate, by decantation.
Behind this internal of the internal of Together for Change are erected the terminals that the protagonists chose on the national scene. Lopez Murphy had already kicked the board by deciding only his support for the candidacy of Patricia Bullrich. Santoro and García Moritán are still in the armed Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
On Twitter, Lopez Murphy cut the legal framework that the other leaders of his party demanded of him, came out at the intersection of the advance information and reaffirmed that he will be a pre-candidate for head of government.
"Before the rogue operations of a tiny group of climbers and traitors, I am forced to clarify that my pre-candidacy for Head of Government is firmer than ever," he wrote on his Twitter account. No mention of United Republicans, of course.
From the other side, they specified that it is possible that the former minister competes, but that he does so with another political stamp. A demand that can lead them to the same fate if Lopez Murphy persists in not giving up his weight in the party.
For now, the deputy does not intend to renounce force. And he is betting that his followers and the leaders who respond will not support the candidacy of García Moritán, who, according to Lopez Murphy's calculations, needs two-thirds of the internal votes to be anointed candidate from the United Republicans.
