The municipal police of Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) caught up with an individual at the origin of a brawl with a knife, in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, around 2am. It is a 30-year-old man, of Tunisian nationality and subject to an obligation to leave French territory with the mention of a ban on return, Le Figaro learned from a police source. He declared himself homeless and had attacked another individual of the same nationality and in a similar situation to his own. They were intoxicated, police added.

Minor injuries
The victim was taken care of by firefighters at Guynemer Boulevard. He had been stabbed in the neck, abdomen and chest, but was only slightly injured, say the rescuers. The latter, aged about forty years, was still transported to the Pasteur Hospital in Nice.
Witnesses were able to give a quick description of the profile of the assailant, who had fled on foot. The municipal police managed to arrest him at the level of the boulevard Jean-Hibert, at the level of the beaches of Cannes. "He corresponded in every way to the description," adds the same police source.
