Rhythm & Blues and pop singer Tina Turner has died at the age of 83, the artist's official Facebook page announced Wednesday.

"With his music and boundless passion for life, he captivated millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of the future. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our sincerest compassion is with his family. Tina, we will miss you so much," reads the statement shared on the social network.
Turner, named the Queen of the Rok and known for her spectacular mane, filled entire stadiums with her performances over several decades of career and won a dozen Grammy Awards, as well as the adoration of millions of fans around the world.
