Story of a romance that was not along a friendship that lasted more than half a century up and down the stage.

The Rolling Stones toured the United States in 1966 performing "Aftermath". Ike and Tina Turner found in that tour the golden opportunity to be their opening act.

The Turners, meanwhile, presented "River Deep, Mountain High", the work that launched them to fame and it was Tina who said that Mick Jagger, leader of Their Satanic Majesties, was present while the album was recorded in the studio with Phil Spector.

"He's not the type to make you feel like you could just walk up and talk to him," Turner told Rolling Stone. However, he suspected that Jagger liked his job.

On that tour, in which Jagger enjoyed watching girls dance, including Turner, he went into dressing rooms to remind them. "That's why we were always preparing, because we never knew when it was going to look like," he told Larry King in 1997.

"Aftermath" means "sequels." In April of this year, in an interview with The Guardian, Tina Turner was asked: "Who is your favorite celebrity?"

In what was a report of concise questions and short answers, the singer replied: "I was always in love with Mick Jagger. I loved it when we went on tour with the Rolling Stones."

A reflection of Turner's love for Jagger, but also of the mutual devotion they had, is the Live Aid festival in July 1985, a festival in which for 16 consecutive hours international music stars performed in front of 100,<> people at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia.

"Where's Tina?" asked Jagger on stage. Together they performed "State of Shock" and "It's Just Rock and Roll." During those five and a half minutes, the interaction between them set the stage on fire. Frictions, close mouths, gestures and a song in which he sings "she puts me on my knees" and that when they look at each other they go into "shock".

In that same presentation, Jagger, after changing a blue shirt for a yellow jacket in the middle of the song, leaves Turner without a skirt.

About that story, the singer tells in her biography, according to The Independent: "Mick and I could never stay there and sing, it wasn't us. We had to do something. He looked at me. She was wearing a tight black leather blouse and skirt and I could see that a naughty idea was forming."

"'Does that skirt come off?' he asked slyly. ' What?' was my surprised reply... 'I'm going to take off your skirt.' I asked him why, but it was too late to speak, Mick had already decided to do it. It wasn't like a random guy had taken my skirt off. It was as if a guy I knew did it. A very old boy," he said.

Almost 40 years later, confirmed the death of the "Queen of Rock", as she said she wanted to be remembered, Jagger dismissed her: "I am very sad for the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly a performer and singer of enormous talent. She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me a lot when I was young and I will never forget her."

"You have me catatonic," says another verse of the song "State of shock." "Love is like a dryer that goes out in your stomach," Tina replied to Mick that time on stage.
