The death of rock and soul singer Tina Turner, aged 83, has shocked the world and generated diverse reactions from colleagues, such as legendary musician Mick Jagger, to NASA.

I am so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was an enormously talented performer and singer. She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous," Jagger said on social media.
The Rolling Stones frontman also posted a photograph of the pair on stage and noted that Turner was "a great support" in his youth, something he will "never" forget.

"Simply the best"
On Twitter, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA, also published a message for the "Queen of Rock", in which it assured that it was "simply the best".
"His legacy will live forever among the stars," the warm message reads.
At the daily White House press briefing, U.S. government spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre learned from reporters of the singer's death.
"Tina Turner was an icon" and her death is a "great loss to those who loved her and to the music industry," said Jean-Pierre, for whom the artist's songs will "live on" forever.
Magic Johnson, the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, shared on his Twitter profile a photograph in which he appears with actress Elizabeth Taylor and Turner, and said that the Private Dancer interpreter was "one of my favorite artists of all time."

Johnson also stressed that he had the opportunity to see her on several occasions and that her shows were "the best" he had ever witnessed.
For her part, actress Mia Farrow shared two black and white images of the singer who died on Wednesday, with the caption: "The magnificent Tina Turner has left us" and accompanied the phrase with the icon of a broken heart.
To these reactions was added the singer Shirley Manson of the alternative rock band Garbage, who in networks assured "not to believe this horrible news".
"My dear Tina Turner. I have loved you so long. I have so much to thank you for. I love you eternally," he said.
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan posted a photo in tribute to the singer, whom he described as "legendary," while Summer of '69 author Bryan Adams mourned the death of "an incredibly powerful woman."
Turner died after a long illness at his home in Kusnacht, Switzerland. Her powerful voice and explosive energy on stage made her one of the most influential artists in rock history.
