It is Pablo Vilas, former head of the Casa Patria Grande. How will be his camporista celebration at the headquarters in Tegucigalpa.

The Argentine ambassador to Honduras, Pablo Vilas, opened a strong controversy on Tuesday when his provocative call to celebrate at the diplomatic headquarters in Tegucigalpathe new anniversary of the May Revolution of 1810 simultaneously with the twenty years of the arrival to power of Néstor Kirchner, in 2003.

He did so in line with the act of this Thursday organized by La Cámpora, a group to which he himself belongs, and in which the vice president will speak.

Vilas made his call with a bizarre collage of photos that reads "1810-1983-2003: Homeland / Democracy / Conviction". This one has two large images of the late former president Néstor Kirchner; one by Manuel Belgrano; another byRaúl Alfonsín; a Mother of Plaza de Mayo with the readingto "The Malvinas are Argentine, the disappeared too". You can see the Cabildo; the Plaza de Mayo and three stars for the victory of the National Team in the World Cup in Qatar.

"The Embassy of the Argentine Republic invites you to participate on May 25 in the commemorative acts of the 213th anniversary of the May Revolution, our first Homeland government," says the invitation for 14 p.m. on Thursday in Cerro Juana Lainez Park.

"We will also celebrate 40 years of democracy in Argentina and the 20th anniversary of the assumption of President Néstor Carlos Kirchner to the Presidency of the Nation," reads the banner and mentions the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the Directorate of Cultural Affairs and "the COPECO Cristina Fernández de Kirchner Heritage."

Vilas' call angered some of the opposition figures and social media users.

"It is an offense to all Argentines on the eve of a national date and another example of the ideological and partisan foreign policy that the national government has and that contributes nothing to the development of our country. It is one more action that undermines international confidence. The Foreign Ministry should focus on representing all Argentines, instead of promoting a partisan act abroad," complained Fernando Straface, secretary general and international relations of the City of Buenos Aires.

There were also rejections from Patricia Bullrich's space.

"The Argentine embassies represent the whole nation and not a party. It would be appropriate to summon or remove the militant ambassador, who intends to appropriate the homeland date," wrote formerR senator Federico Pinedo, mentioned as one of the candidates to be chancellor if the leader in the PRO becomes president.

Former ambassador to Israel Mariano Caucino also criticized him. "Grave: Argentine Ambassador to Honduras invites official activity in Tegucigalpa to simultaneously commemorate the May Revolution of 1810 and the coming to power of Néstor Kirchner in 2003. Insane @CancilleriaARG," he wrote.

Vilas does not have authorization from Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero to make this call. However, he is hardly reprimanded because he has, above all, political support from hard Christianity. For that matter, those who are in foreign embassies, such as Carlos Raimundi at the OAS, have their own agenda as militants.

The Argentine representation in Honduras was occupied only last year by the camporista Vilas, who replaced the career diplomat Juan José Castelli, appointed in 2016 by Mauricio Macri.

Vilas had already aroused controversy when it was learned that during his diplomatic management he dedicated himself to distributing books and other Kirchnerist publications at his headquarters.

The curious thing about his appointment is that he was born in Honduras, and is naturalized Argentine. Despite this, and the fact that he is a fan of President Xiomara Castro, he was confirmed by the Senate last year.

Between 2011 and 2015 he was in charge of the so-called Casa de la Patria Grande, an organization endowed with significant budgetary resources. And he made good ties especially with the leader of La Cámpora and deputy, Máximo Kirchner.
