Tina Turner's voice has gone out forever. The American singer died at the age of 83 on Wednesday, according to a statement signed by her representative. "Tina Turner, the queen of rock and roll, died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland." Born Anna Mae Bullock, the artist was known for hits such as The Best, Private Dancer, or What's Love Got to Do with It. Turner devoted her entire life to singing and dancing on stage. "With her, the world loses a legend of music and a role model," closes the statement of his representative.
Off stage, the artist always defined herself as "a very normal person". He liked to do everyday things, like driving his car and walking around the city, he said. "I still like being down-to-earth because I enjoy being independent in that sense," he told a news conference.
