Process of decivilization": the expression used by Emmanuel Macron to evoke violence in society has made people jump. Quick to the "vigilance against the extreme right" of which he has made his vocation, Edwy Plenel has piaillé on Twitter: "In the Council of Ministers, Macron speaks of "decivilization" to evoke violence. It is a smoky concept invented by the far-right writer Renaud Camus, already inventor of the racist ideology of the 'great replacement.'" The director of Mediapart accompanied his commentary with the cover of a book dating from 2011 by the writer actually titled Décivilisation. Edwy Plenel could continue his work of vigilance, and reproach Christophe Guilluy for the use of the term "dispossession" title of a recent book by Renaud Camus, and call to dename "the department of Gers" to which the lord of Plieux paid tribute in a book in 1997.
Civilization is not a definitive achievement, warns Norbert Elias, it is a fragile and temporary conquest, sedimented by centuries of constraints, but which can be deconstructed in a day.
