The Knesset will discuss the farce of the final: the storm surrounding the cup final and the outbreak of fans on the pitch reaches the Israeli Knesset. On Monday, the Education, Culture and Sport Committee will meet to discuss the conduct of the Football Association around the final game, which ended with fans bursting onto the pitch, canceling the hoisting of the trophy on the field and the removal of the president from the scene by his security personnel.
The meeting of the committee took place following a letter sent by MK Kati Shitrit (Likud) to the Chairman of the Education, Culture and Sports Committee MK Yosef Taib (Shas), in which she demanded that the committee be convened urgently. Taib agreed, and Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar also confirmed his attendance at the hearing.

In her letter, MK Shitrit wrote that "at the very beginning of the event, very serious security failures were seen, when the audiences of both teams threw dozens of powders onto the field, and the game was stopped for a long time," and also noted the delay in holding the hoisting ceremony: "Instead of the final ceremony being held directly after the end of the game, the Association delayed excessively and caused that almost an hour after the game the cup was not given to the winner - the Beitar Jerusalem team."

Shitrit noted that the responsibility lies with the Association's reporters: "This State Cup final was a show of absurd theater conducted by the heads of the Association." In addition, Sheetrit attacked the IFA for what she described as an attempt to divert criticism from them towards Beitar Jerusalem and its fans: "Breaking into the winning fans is unacceptable, but the reality in which the IFA and its spokesmen decided to conduct a shocking campaign to revoke the title from the team is another performance in the Israeli Football Association's theater of the absurd."
