In a speech that was brought forward by rain, the vice president left in the Plaza de Mayo a series of political definitions in defense of her two presidencies and that of Néstor Kirchner, and against the opposition and Justice.
The former president began speaking in front of a packed square around 15:30 p.m. and was the only speaker at the event for the 20th anniversary of the inauguration of former President Néstor Kirchner.
These were the main definitions of Cristina Kirchner:
"Besides, there's the other argument. That we had everything going for us. In favour? Three months after taking office as president, for another genius of the economy of those who give us lessons, I almost put on the country of hat. That crisis divided Argentine society. That's why I say I almost put the country in a hat, a crisis of very strong magnitude."
"This square is witness to our joys but also to ugly memories of Argentines. It was populated with repression of Mothers and Grandmothers the day that convertibility fell and they appropriated the fixed-term deposits of the Argentines in the famous corralito. But it was the kukas who paid the time deposits."
"Believe me that to do it many times you have to put an ugly face on those who have a lot. It is not about confrontation. Or why do they think that in my second government we were able to reach 51% (salary participation in GDP) and hate me and proscribe me? Because I was never one of them. They want to kill me or put me in prison, I will never be theirs. I'm from the village and I don't move from there."
"Write down geniuses of the economy, we will garp yours. We, the Kukas, the Perucans."
"Despite the mistakes and differences, it is infinitely better than what would have been another Mauricio Macri. I have no doubts, I have no doubts."
"I also want to tell you that a renewal of this democratic pact is necessary. To return to give the country a Judicial Power that is among the tramollas of a clique unworthy for the history of Argentina. Nestor was threatened with dollarization, the president of that Court. It's unbelievable that I said this. But that Court to which Nestor asked for impeachment, next to this mamarracho that we have today, true mamarracho, never heard and saw these things. Argentines deserve to have a Supreme Court of Justice that is called as such without turning red. Please I ask all political parties to do so. It's the image of the country, too."
