The accesses to the Plaza de Mayo and the adjacent streets were closed to traffic this morning more than eight hours after the start of Cristina Kirchner's speech to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the presidential assumption of Néstor Kirchner.
In addition, President Alberto Fernández and his ministers will attend the Tedeum in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires to be officiated by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Mario Poli.
Rivadavia Street was interrupted for circulation from the Bajo Buenos Aires area, as was Hipólito Yrigoyen for those coming from Diagonal Sur and Norte.
The streets surrounding the Plaza de Mayo, both on the side of the city of Buenos Aires and the historic center of San Telmo, were also being fenced this morning to prevent vehicular access in the area.
