The Geretsried districts started the spring with various events. A complete success for the sponsoring association for youth and social work.
Geretsried – With activities for the whole family, the supporting association for youth and social work (TVJA) celebrated the "start of spring" in the neighborhoods.
Flea market, handicraft campaign and coffee wreath: Start of spring in Geretsried districts
"The neighbourhood management and the neighbourhood advisory councils offered great activities and offers, despite the rather sober weather," writes Natascha Siebert from TJVA. A neighbourhood festival took place in the district of Stein. Handicraft activities for Mother's Day as well as homemade cakes attracted the residents of the district to the neighbourhood meeting. At the same time, there was a flea market. Due to the weather, some sellers moved to the Quartierstreff, and so haggling could also be done there.

A flea market was also held at Neuer Platz. The weather held up there, which is why the local neighbourhood advisory board and the sellers were happy to be able to organise the flea market outside. At more than 15 stalls, many old objects could find new owners, and "the ball throwing friends played a few games of boules". In exchange for a donation, the advisory board baked waffles, because "the district festival in July is almost just around the corner".
Coffee wreath instead of barbecue: Meeting place at Geretsried's Johannisplatz is establishing itself
According to Siebert, a residents' barbecue had been planned at Johannisplatz. Due to fewer registrations and lack of sunshine, it was converted into an afternoon at the Quartierstreff with coffee and cake. "And very successfully," writes the TVJA employee. "All generations at Johannisplatz came together in the Quartierstreff." The neighbourhood advisory board had provided homemade cakes. There were numerous conversations between the neighbors, families and friends. Compared to last spring, "you can see how the Treff is increasingly establishing itself as a meeting place at Johannisplatz".
