This is how easy it is to make red wine pasta with nut crunch:

You need these ingredients for the "Drunken Pasta":

  • Nut crunch:
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 50 g hazelnuts
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 5 g parsley
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, plucked
  • Red Wine Pasta:
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 100 g red onions, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 100 g butter
  • 5 sprigs of thyme
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 750 ml red wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300 g pasta
  • 100 g grated Parmesan cheese

It's as simple as this:

  • For the nut crunch: Lightly roast walnuts, hazelnuts and breadcrumbs. After that, finely chop the nuts with parsley and thyme in a chopper.
  • For the red wine pasta: Heat the cooking oil in a deep frying pan and sauté the red onions until translucent. Add the garlic, butter, sprigs of thyme and butter.
  • Stir until the butter has melted. Deglaze with red wine, add salt and bring to a boil. Then cook the pasta in red wine until the pasta is cooked and the sauce is creamy.
  • Finally, fold in the Parmesan.
  • Serve the red wine pasta on a deep plate and garnish with the nut crunch.
