Hezbollah secretary general referred to statements made by the security leadership: "Israel is no longer great, it is withdrawing from Lebanon and Gaza" • "In response to Netanyahu's threats," as he put it, Nasrallah said: "You are not the ones threatening the great war, but we who are threatening you with it."

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech Thursday evening marking the anniversary of the IDF's withdrawal from Lebanon (May 2000) and against the backdrop of tensions in the north. Earlier today, a drone crossing the border into Israel was shot down and Hezbollah supporters demonstrated in southern Lebanon opposite the border.

At the beginning of his speech, Nasrallah thanked Iran and Syria for assisting Hezbollah in "liberating southern Lebanon" from Israel, and all those who assisted the terrorist organization. He went on to say that Hezbollah's military exercise was a message for "those who think that our campaign with the enemy is over and are delusional, because there is a part of our country that is still under occupation." In doing so, Nasrallah implicitly referred to points on the Lebanon-Israel border on which there is no longer agreement and to the Har Dov area. He stressed that "the conflict is still ongoing."

"As for the Israeli threats, today Israel is not great. It withdrew from Lebanon in 2000 and withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Internationally, when the U.S. had global hegemony for Israel, it was a golden age," Nasrallah said, arguing that the world is becoming a multipolar world, and that is not in Israel's favor. In this context, he noted the withdrawal of the United States from the region.

"You are not the ones who threaten the great war, but we who threaten you with it." Head of Military Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliwa,

In addition, Nasrallah claimed that "Israel is currently hiding behind fences and fire and is unable to impose its terms in any negotiations with the Palestinians." He said. In response to statements made by the defense establishment and by the head of Military Intelligence in particular, Nasrallah said: You are not the ones threatening the great war, but we who are threatening you with it. Any major war will include all borders and arenas with hundreds of thousands of fighters, and we have superiority in the human aspect." He also said that "the bets on the so-called 'Arab Spring' have fallen in terms of reaching humiliating arrangements such as the Deal of the Century."

The Hezbollah secretary general also said in his speech: "The one who should fear a major war is Israel. I say to the Israeli chief of staff - you must pay attention and not mistake your assessment. Don't make a mistake in Gaza or the West Bank or Syria or Lebanon or Iran, which will lead to the explosion of the entire region and could lead to a major war in the entire region, which could lead you to an abyss, if not extinction."
