The gap between Prince Harry and his family is wide. But King Charles III and Prince William are flying media doves of peace across the Atlantic.
London – The coronation of King Charles III (74) could have been the cornerstone for a reconciliation between the British royal family and Prince Harry (38), but instead the solemn event of the century made it all the clearer how far Harry has distanced himself from his relatives. Prince Harry returned to his old home only for a 28-hour lightning visit, wife Meghan Markle (41) stayed with children Archie (4) and Lilibet (1) in Montecito, California, where Harry jetted back directly after the service at Westminster Abbey.

According to media reports, there was a conversation with his father Charles at least on the eve of the coronation, but the rift seems to be even deeper between Prince Harry, his brother Prince William (40) and his wife Kate Middleton (41). Interaction at the coronation where Harry had to sit two rows behind his brother and Princess Kate? Not at all. The fronts are hardened – Prince Harry did not cope with the reserve role throughout his life, William can not forgive his brother for the revelations in the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" and in Harry's biography "Spare".
But even though Prince Harry's contact with his family seems to have been reduced to a minimum since moving to the US, it is still present in their lives. This is proven by current recordings. Prince William and Princess Kate shared a five-minute behind-the-scenes video of the coronation on Twitter. Among other things, it shows how the heir to the throne prepares for the big day together with their children Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) in their former home Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.

William and Kate met at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where they shared a flat with friends at 13A Hope Street in their second year. After their wedding in 2011, the two moved to the Welsh island of Anglesey, as William was stationed there as a pilot. Even before their third child, Prince Louis, was born, Kate and William moved into what is now their country estate, Anmer Hall in Norfolk. In 2017, their bags were packed again, and Kensington Palace became their new home. Since the summer of 2022, the family of five has been living in Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

According to express.co.uk, attentive observers have not missed the fact that a very special photo can be seen in the background in the short film by director Will Warr. On the grand piano is a black-and-white photograph showing Princess Diana (36, † 1997) arm in arm with her two sons William and Harry. The photo also served as Lady Di's official Christmas card in 1995. But it's not just Prince William who cherishes his brother.

King Charles III received Humza Yousaf (38), First Minister of Scotland, at Buckingham Palace. Footage of the audience shows that Charles did not cut Harry out of his life either. In a photo posted on a table in the background, Prince Harry and Prince William are pictured side by side in military uniform. So the hope for a reconciliation between Harry and his family remains.
