No to migrants" or "No to Cada": these are two examples of the seven tags with racist content and hostile to the project to transfer a reception center for asylum seekers that were found this Thursday morning on walls or gates of individual houses in the commune of Saint-Brévin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique). These inscriptions were probably made during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, only a few hours after a rally in support of the resigning mayor Yannick Morez.
"They are all in the same street," says the Figaro, Etienne Naud, the commander of the gendarmerie company of Pornic. This is the Chemin du Fief, a road located "halfway between the city center and the Cada project," he explains. This place, which is "far from the mayor's home" - who had been targeted by arson last March - "does not include a sensitive home".

An "AF" signature
The tags include an "AF" signature that could refer to the ultra-right Action Française movement. To try to determine the identity of the authors of these messages, an investigation was opened by the gendarmerie. It is conducted by the brigade of Saint-Brévin-les-Pins on the grounds of a "degradation or deterioration of a property by inscription, sign or drawing".
According to Étienne Naud, these would be the first anti-Cada tags identified in the commune while pro-Cada inscriptions have already been listed in the past. These messages illustrate the high tension that remains in the seaside resort, whose town hall was the target of a cyberattack Wednesday morning.
