Video: 5-year-old seriously injured in hit-and-run accident in Netanya (MDA)
About two weeks after a hit-and-run accident near Rosh HaAyin in which 15-year-old Leith Ali Frej was killed, the suspect's driver, Natalia Stein, a resident of the city in her 40s, was released from custody. This is while the investigation into the case is ongoing.
"Our angel is in heaven, but we are suffering," he told Walla! At the hospital where he is hospitalized, Malek Freij, the boy's uncle, collapsed on Thursday. This, he said, was due to the death of his nephew, which brought him to a difficult mental state. "How can she sleep at night? She has no mercy? If she had stopped, she could have helped him. Mistakes happen. We are all human beings," he added.

Another hit-and-run accident occurred this month in Netanya, killing a 5-year-old boy. The suspect's driver, in her 70s, continued to drive without assistance or a call for help. The drivers in both cases were detained for interrogation purposes and released to house arrest a few days later.
