VIDEO - The France 5 talk hosted by Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine has taken up the torch of Canal+ on the Croisette. The resemblance between the two shows, a few years apart, is striking.

Since 2017, "Le Grand Journal" is no more. In 2022, the encrypted channel bequeathed the broadcasting of the Cannes Film Festival ceremonies to France Télévisions. This year, "C à vous" relocated for the first time on the Croisette. A live directed by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, in the presence of an audience, which is reminiscent of her predecessor.

The tray is, to be mistaken, the same. A large central table, white and beige color. Sea view in the background. Michel Denisot presided at the end of the table, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine is not a tuxedo, but in fact just as much. The guests who come to present their films follow one another. "C à vous" seems to be a passage as obligatory as climbing the steps. The France 5 talk received Pedro Almodovar, Ethan Hawke, Michelle Yeoh recently Oscar winner for Everything Everywhere all at Once. On the French side, Virginie Efira, Guillaume Canet, Cecile de France and Benoît Magimel were also present.

Bertrand Chameroy stronger than Yann Barthès

The humor tablet is provided by Bertrand Chameroy who adapts for the occasion his "ABC". Like Yann Barthès in his time, he is amused by the eccentricities of the Croisette. He spots the real fake lookalikes of stars hidden among the festival-goers, comments with gentle mockery the climbs of the steps. In 2014, "Le Petit Journal" had fun with "Le point cagole". Bertrand Chameroy proposes the "out of competition" by questioning passers-by on the rest of the news, far from the glitter of the Cannes Film Festival.

Some of the answers are delightfully disconnected from reality. His predecessor wisely remained at his post while the comedian gives of his person by also performing sketches, worthy of the great hours of the Miss Weather of the "Grand Journal". A remake of The City of Fear, a motorcycle arrival on set or a rough lesson in movie kissing... He's having fun.

So that's the multiverse!

A variant however between "Le Grand Journal" and "C à vous". The presence of Pierre Lescure at the table of columnists. Until 2022, he was the patron of the Cannes Film Festival. Present year-round on France 5 alongside Patrick Cohen, Mohamed Bouhafsi and Émilie Tran Nguyen, it is now on the media side that he covers this 76th edition.

To complete the circle, Michel Denisot was present in "C à vous" on May 19. An irony underlined by Bertrand Chameroy that evening who proposes to "assume until the end" by changing the jingle of the show to return to the one known by the viewers of Canal +, a few years ago. The former host of the "Grand Journal" took advantage of his appearance on France Télévisions to evoke his memories of Cannes: "I did this work for years. We received people every day for movies, we never tell them that the film is not good because otherwise, we have no guests. So, when I said 'the film is successful', it was that it was average..." So that's the multiverse!
