They had undertaken to burst into the Mc Donald's of Maurepas (Yvelines) with a knife to run away with the cash register. Two men aged 18 and 30, arrested by the police of Elancourt, were presented to justice, we learned this Thursday evening. On May 14, around 23:30 p.m., the manager of this restaurant had called the police after being confronted by a man who was brandishing a knife.
In the area, police spotted two men. One of them corresponds to the description provided by the victim. Arrested in the wake with 62 euros in his pocket, he is placed in custody. His accomplice, who had fled, was found the next day in a hotel in Coignières. The police get their hands on 300 euros, which correspond to the loot of the day before.
Paid 20 euros to keep watch
During their hearings, the two men admitted the facts, one of them specifying that his mission was to keep watch, against a remuneration of 20 euros. Presented in immediate appearance, the perpetrator of the extortion was sentenced to twelve months in prison.
He was imprisoned at the end of the hearing. On his release from prison, he will be prohibited from presenting himself in the commune of Maurepas and from possessing a weapon for three years.
His accomplice, who played the role of lookout, was tried under an appearance procedure on prior admission of guilt.
Last September, a knife brawl ended in blood at Mc Donald's in the Europe district of Vélizy-Villacoublay, still in the Yvelines. Two men on a scooter had violently attacked the passenger of a vehicle parked in front of them in the queue of the drive.
