Nevertheless, you should definitely inform yourself about the laws and customs of the host country before leaving. Because locals are often annoyed by some typical behaviors of tourists. Of course, you can't embarrass yourself at your holiday destination, but already on the way there - for example, by jumping up on the plane immediately after landing and mutating into a "pusher". The holiday booking portal Holidaycheck has summarized some of the most curious rules. According to this, there is a rather unusual ban on the popular La Pelosa beach in Sardinia: there it is not allowed to put towels directly on the sand. As a result, too much sand is allegedly taken away by the visitors. For this reason, there are straw mats on which guests can spread out their towel. Loungers are also available for hire.

Beware of camouflage clothing: fines are imminent in some holiday countries
You should be careful when choosing clothes in South Africa, Oman or the Caribbean, among others. Pieces that look like camouflage clothing – such as cargo pants, parkas or camouflage-look pieces – can not only cause rejection, but can also be considered a criminal offense. There is a threat of fines or confiscation of clothing for fear that the wearer could be mistaken for a "real" military member.
