400 municipalities took part in Bavaria's first Homeland Experience Day. In Hallbergmoos, archivist Martina Paringer and the local history association showed special exhibits.
Hallbergmoos - Since 2018, the municipal archive has been looked after by Martina Paringer. The documents, photos and documents are viewed, sorted and signed. A real Sisyphean task that is only a fraction done. Many of them are files and documents from the town hall, but also private treasures such as photos, postcards or club chronicles.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
+Elfriede Hippele and Karl-Heinz Zenker from the Heimat- und Traditionsverein traced the local history in the foyer on the basis of historical documents.

"The motto of the exhibition is: No home without memory. If things are not documented in writing, the memory is diluted," said Paringer at the opening. In the large meeting room of the town hall, she has neatly lined up selected historical treasures behind plexiglass panes: The construction plan of the first fire coach house from 1851 and the documented acquisition of the first "extinguishing machine" were of great interest to Ludwig Wiesheu, honorary commander of the Hallbergmoos fire brigade, and active member Erwin Vogl.

Hay deliveries in the First World War, field maps, information on livestock or photos of the Siegfried wrestlers of yesteryear, where visitors could add missing names, could be seen. Andrea Holzmann, head of cultural affairs, was pleased with the interest shown by the guests. At the same time, she and district councillor Simon Schindlmayer referred to the work of the district, which, in addition to open-air museums documenting rural everyday life, such as the Glentleiten, also maintains a folk music and traditional costume archive.
