Highlights: Street musicians will play at various locations in the old town of Wolfratshausen. The series is expected to last at least until the end of July. There is no fixed fee for the artists – but if the streams of visitors fail to materialize, the City Marketing Department will contribute to the travel costs of the musicians. So far, mainly musicians have registered for the coming weekends. Other forms of street art are also possible, for example dance or juggling. The city's cultural manager has not yet revealed exactly what he plans to do in advance.

Wolfratshausen – A special flair is to unfold this Saturday, May 27, in the old town: street musicians will play at various locations. This date is the prelude. In the future, three musicians will turn Marktstraße into an open-air stage every weekend.

As reported, the city's cultural manager Andreas Kutter initiated the concert series. "The city should be easily exhilarating," is his goal. From 13 p.m. to 15 p.m., musicians will play at Marienplatz, in the town hall courtyard and at Schwankleck. "In the good manner of street music, a hat is ready for donations," Kutter announces. There is no fixed fee for the artists – but if the streams of visitors fail to materialize, the City Marketing Department will contribute to the travel costs of the musicians.

Some well-known local heroes have announced themselves for the kick-off: Claudia Sommer from Ickingen sings in the city. Driving melodies are provided by Fabio Faganello from Wolfratshausen on his electric guitar. More thoughtful are the songs of singer-songwriter Jan Wannemacher from Münsing. The town band also participates. And cultural manager Andreas Kutter will also be appearing himself – but he has not yet revealed exactly what he plans to do in advance.

So far, mainly musicians have registered for the coming weekends. As the city's cultural manager announced in an interview with our newspaper, other forms of street art are also possible, for example dance or juggling. Every 30 minutes – as prescribed by the public order office – the musicians either have to take a break or change location. The series is expected to last at least until the end of July, "but there is room for improvement".
