Two serious road accidents occurred this week in the department. The result: one dead and four wounded. Around 11:15 am Thursday, the gendarmes are called on the D 619, at Evry-Grégy-sur-Yerre. For some reason still undetermined, a motorhome has just finished its race against a tree.
On board, only Seine-et-Marnais. The 73-year-old front passenger died. The driver, aged 85, is evacuated by the emergency services in absolute emergency to the hospital of Melun. The second passenger, aged 62, was also injured.
According to initial findings, the motorhome left the road for no apparent reason and hit a tree. The driver may have felt unwell. The gendarmerie brigade of Coubert, in charge of the investigation, will have to determine the reasons for this sudden change of direction of the vehicle. For the moment, investigators have not yet been able to hear the two injured passengers.
Another accident occurred Monday around 13 p.m., on the departmental 934, in Saint-Martin-des-Champs, behind La Ferté-Gaucher going towards the department of Marne. It involves two cars. When the fire brigade arrived, a passenger was trapped in his vehicle. The emergency services must therefore disincarcerate him, before taking charge of him.
The two victims of the accident were later evacuated. The first, in serious condition, was helicoptered to the Henri-Mondor hospital in Créteil (Val-de-Marne). The second, more slightly injured was transported by the firefighters to the hospital of Coulommiers.
