Highlights: Prince Harry was in a relationship with model and actress Cressida Bonas for about two years. Harry himself, in his memoirs, blamed the paparazzi for the end of the relationship. In an ongoing court case against the media group NGN (News Group Newspapers), Prince Harry is bringing the "Tabloids have destroyed my relationships" Harry's ex-girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Florence Brudenell-Bruce no longer wanted to expose themselves to the pressure of the public interest.

During her liaison with Prince Harry, model Cressida Bonas became more and more affected by his neuroses. Harry himself, in his memoirs, blamed the paparazzi for the end of the relationship.

London – Before Prince Harry (38) fell in love with Meghan Markle (2016) in 41, he was in a relationship with model and actress Cressida Bonas (34) for about two years. The two met at a music festival, Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie (33) introduced him to her acquaintance at the time, as the Duke of Sussex writes in his biography "Spare". There was a spark between Harry and Cressida and "before I knew what was happening to me, we were a couple," according to Prince Harry.

'Complained about paparazzi where there weren't': Did Prince Harry suffer from paranoia?

But in the spring of 2014, the relationship between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas broke up. In "Spare", Harry blames the press for the failure, previously he had also been abandoned by his ex-girlfriends Chelsy Davy (37) and Florence Brudenell-Bruce (37), as they were permanently pursued by paparazzi and no longer wanted to expose themselves to the pressure of the public interest.

For Cressida Bonas, however, completely different reasons are said to have played a role in the separation from Prince Harry, as the book "Battle of Brothers" by British author and historian Robert Lacey (79) reveals. "She complained to friends that Harry had a media neurosis," Lacey said. "He scolded and complained about paparazzi who were lying in wait for him where there were obviously none." Eventually, Cressida came to the conclusion that Harry was a "hurt and selfish young man."

One day before Prince Harry's engagement to Meghan Markle: Cressida Bonas posts meaningful quote

Although Cressida Bonas, like Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, was one of the guests at his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018, an Instagram post by the model on November 28, 2017 speaks volumes. Cressida posted the quote, "No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you think you are, the way you treat people says it all." Just one day later, Harry and Meghan's engagement was officially announced. Chance? Hardly.

My Area

In the meantime, Cressida Bonas has apparently found the right one, since 2020 she has been married to Harry Wentworth-Stanley (34), whom she had already met before her relationship with Prince Harry during her studies at the University of Leeds, according to Tatler magazine. Last year, the two became parents for the first time. Whether Cressida's relationship with the Duke of Sussex broke down because of Harry's paranoia or the siege by the press, only the two know. In fact, in an ongoing court case against the media group NGN (News Group Newspapers), Prince Harry is bringing the charges: "Tabloids have destroyed my relationships."
